CAT-ICOM SQUELCH DETECT CABLE WIRING DIAGRAM

Wire all these pins (Straight through) from one side of the break out box to the other side
THIS IS FOR A 25 PIN CONNECTOR - IF USING A CT-17

 1 <----------->  1
 2 <----------->  2
 3 <----------->  3
 4 <----------->  4
 5 <----------->  5
 6 <----------->  6
 7 <----------->  7
 8 <----------->  8  <------------------- shield
 9 <----------->  9
20 <-----------> 20  <--------- center conductor

Using a MONO cable with a 3.5 mm (1/8) plug on one end
 and TINNED leads on the other

Set Scancat-Gold's Commport Squelch detect setting
        to #3, "Squelch Detect Cable".

Connect the "shield" side to Pin 8
Connect the "center" side to Pin 20

Place the breakout box in series between the serial cable and where it would normally connect to the CT-17. Plug the 3.5mm plug into the Tape Recorder Remote On/off switch jack ** NOT the audio output jack**. This jack has a relay, and does the switching for the above wired breakout box.
